Kids Parties

Everything for a great kids party, in one place.

Start your party plan

Our free planner builds your budget and checklist, then gets quotes from local suppliers without sharing your contact details.

Venue & food

Children's Venues

Indoor play centres, party rooms and halls take the stress (and the mess) out of home. Book 4 to 6 weeks ahead for weekends, and check what's included: a party host, tables, food, clean-up and how long you have the room.

Kid-Friendly Cafés

Great for smaller groups and younger children. Ask about a set kids menu, a private or sectioned-off area, high chairs, and whether you can bring your own cake (some cafés charge a cake fee).

Catering for Kids

Party boxes keep things simple and portions fair; platters suit grazing. Ask parents about allergies when they RSVP and tell your caterer early. Don't forget food for the adults.

Fun & activities

Entertainers

Magicians, clowns, face painters, character visits, science shows and DJs. 45 to 60 minutes suits under-7s; older kids love interactive shows. Book early and ask for their Working With Children Check.

Activities for Kids

Games and challenges, arts and craft, sports coaching or cooking with a chef keep everyone busy. Match the activity to the children's ages and your space, and plan something calm for the end of the party.

Party Hire

Jumping castles, tables and chairs, marquees and games equipment. Check delivery and set-up times, the space and power needed, and that the operator holds public liability insurance.

Theme & extras

Party Themes

A theme makes every choice easier: invitations, cake, decorations and costumes. Let the birthday child choose, then carry it through with colours, music and a themed game or two.

Decorations

Balloons and a few statement pieces go a long way. Order balloons close to the day and add a backdrop for photos. A styling service can set up and pack down for you.

Gift Ideas

Party bags, guest gifts and presents for the birthday child. Keep party bags small and suited to the children's ages, avoid small parts for under-3s, and consider one quality gift instead of lots of plastic.
