Supplier Terms & Conditions
These terms apply to businesses that join conciergeevents.com.au as a supplier or venue. By creating a supplier account, you agree to them on behalf of your business.
1. What Concierge Events does
Concierge Events Pty Limited (ABN 23 109 033 963), “we” or “CE”, connects people planning events with suppliers of event services. We pass on requests and help clients compare quotes. We don’t provide the suppliers’ services ourselves, we don’t act as anyone’s agent, and we’re not a party to the agreement between a client and a supplier.
2. Joining and approval
- You must be a registered business (with an ABN) that provides event-related services or products, and the details you give us must be true and kept up to date.
- We review every application. Joining isn’t automatic, and we may decline an application without giving a reason.
- We decide which categories and areas your business is listed under, based on what you tell us.
- Keep your sign-in details secure, and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
3. Listings and fees
- We offer Basic, Featured and Sponsor listings. Featured and Sponsor suppliers are offered first for matching requests.
- We’ll agree the listing type, price and period with you in writing before you’re charged. Current rates are available on request.
- Venue listings carry the annual rate shown on our List your venue page, charged pro-rata for the months remaining in the listing year (1 July to 30 June).
- All prices include GST. Fees already paid aren’t refundable unless the law requires it or we agree otherwise.
4. Quote requests
- Our team checks every request before it’s sent to suppliers. Requests show the event and service details and a reference number, but not the client’s name or contact details.
- Please reply by the “quotes due” date, either with a quote or by declining, so clients aren’t kept waiting.
- Quote honestly, for the service described. Prices and rates you offer through the site must be no higher than you’d normally offer the public.
- Don’t try to identify or contact a client outside the site before they accept your quote.
- When a client accepts your quote and agrees to share their details, we send you their name, email and phone. From then on, the booking, invoicing and payment are directly between you and the client, on your usual trading terms. Get the client’s written approval for any charges.
5. Client information
Use a client’s details only to arrange and deliver their booking. Keep them secure and confidential, don’t add them to marketing lists without the client’s consent, and handle them in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) where it applies to you.
6. Quality, licences and insurance
- Deliver what you quote, on time and to a professional standard.
- Hold the licences, permits, registrations and insurance (including public liability insurance) your services need.
- If your services involve children, every person working with them must hold a current Working With Children Check, and you must give the details when asked.
7. Complaints
If a client complains to us about your service, we’ll pass it on. Please respond and work towards a fair resolution within 7 days. We may suspend or remove a supplier whose complaints aren’t resolved, or who breaches these terms.
8. Your content
You’re responsible for the accuracy of everything you provide, including your profile, prices, logos and photos, and you confirm you have the right to use them. You allow us to display this content on the site and in our emails to promote your listing.
9. Responsibility
You are responsible for the services you provide and for your dealings with clients. To the extent the law allows, we’re not liable for any loss arising from a supplier’s services, and you agree to cover us for claims arising from your services or your breach of these terms. Nothing in these terms limits rights that can’t be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
10. Emails
We’ll email you about requests, quotes and your account. Any promotional emails from us will include a way to opt out.
11. Leaving, and changes to these terms
You can close your supplier account at any time by contacting us. We may update these terms. We’ll tell you by email and on this page, and continuing to use your supplier account after a change means you accept the updated terms.
